Google Business Profile Management

Know Exactly Where You Rank on the Map.

Local Gravity scans your city block by block, shows you every spot where customers cannot find you, and closes the gap on your Google Business Profile.

Most local businesses have no idea where they actually rank. They search their own business name, see themselves at the top, and assume the map is working. The map is not one result. It changes with every block a searcher stands on, so the same company can be first outside its own shop and invisible four miles away where half its customers live.

Local Gravity starts by measuring that. We run a grid of search points across the area you serve and record your position at each one. Then we do the ongoing profile work that changes those positions, and we re-measure every month so you can see whether it worked. Same measurement, same grid, every time, which is the only way a report means anything.

What Local Gravity does

Six things we handle every month

Google Business Profile optimization

We rebuild the parts of the profile Google actually reads: primary and secondary categories, the full service list with descriptions, the business description, attributes, products, hours, holiday hours, and service area boundaries. Category choice alone moves which searches you are eligible to appear for. We keep all of it current as your business changes.

Automated posts and photos

Profiles that publish regularly hold visibility better than profiles that sit still. We publish updates, offers, and job photos on a set cadence every month, written for your services and the areas you cover. You approve the plan once and then it runs without you chasing it.

Review requests and review responses

We send review invitations to your recent customers by text and email, and we answer new reviews quickly, including the negative ones. Recent review flow and owner responses were the clearest separators between the strong and weak groups in our Michigan study. We never write reviews and we never buy them.

AI-written recommendations

Each month the system compares your profile against the highest-ranking profiles in your grid and drafts specific recommendations: a category to add, a service page that is missing, a question worth answering, a photo type you have none of. A human reviews every recommendation before anything is published.

Monthly rank grid reporting

We measure your position from a grid of points spread across your service area rather than from one address. That is the only way to see that you rank third downtown and nowhere at all six miles north. Each report compares the current grid to the previous month so you can see what moved.

Competitor and gap tracking

Alongside your grid we track who is holding the top three positions in each part of your area. When a competitor gains ground, you see where and you see what changed on their profile. This is the input that shapes the next month of work.

How it works

From first scan to first report

  1. 1

    Free grid scan

We run a rank grid on your primary search terms across your service area and walk you through it. You see exactly which blocks of your city already find you and which ones do not. Nothing is installed and nothing changes on your profile at this stage.

  2. 2

    Access and onboarding

You add us as a manager on your Google Business Profile from your own account. We collect your service list, coverage area, hours, and the customer list you want review requests to go to. Onboarding takes about 30 minutes of your time.

  3. 3

    Foundation month

We correct categories, services, descriptions, attributes, hours, and service area, then load the first month of posts and photos and turn on review requests. Anything that needs your sign-off goes to you in one batch rather than in a stream of emails.

  4. 4

    First report and ongoing cadence

At the end of the first full month you receive the rank grid and the activity log, plus the recommendation queue for the following month. From there it repeats: publish, request, respond, measure, report.

Who it is for

Local service businesses that get found on the map

Local Gravity is built for businesses where the customer searches nearby and calls the same day. If someone types your service plus a city or taps the map and picks from the top three, your profile is doing more work than your website is. That covers contractors, home services, clinics, professional services, and any business with a defined service radius.

It is a poor fit for national ecommerce, businesses with no physical service area, and anyone who already has a full-time person running the profile and producing grid reports. See how the work applies to your trade:

What it does not do

The limits, stated up front

These are the questions people ask on the second call, so here are the answers on the first visit.

We do not guarantee rankings

Google decides positions and changes how it decides them without notice. Anyone promising you a specific position on the map is either guessing or lying. What we commit to is the work being done every month and being reported honestly, including the months where the grid barely moves.

Results take time

Expect 60 to 90 days before the grid shows meaningful change, longer in dense metro areas with entrenched competitors. If you need leads this week, paid search is the honest answer and we will tell you that.

We do not create fake reviews

No purchased reviews, no reviews written by us, no incentives that violate Google policy. We ask real customers for real reviews. Fake reviews get profiles suspended and we are not putting your listing at risk for a faster number.

We cannot fix a bad customer experience

If jobs run late, calls go unanswered, or the work is poor, more visibility just spreads that faster. Local Gravity makes it easier for people to find and choose you. What happens after they call is on your operation.

We do not rebuild your website

Local Gravity is profile management. We will tell you when a missing service page or a slow site is holding the profile back, and we can quote that work separately, but it is not included.

We cannot rank you where you do not operate

Google weighs distance heavily. A profile in one suburb will not dominate a city 30 miles away, no matter how well it is managed. We will show you the realistic reach of your grid before you sign up.

The evidence

What we measured across 100 Michigan contractors

We measured 100 plumbing, HVAC, and electrical companies in ten Michigan markets on 4,410 Google Maps grid points. The strongest 25 companies appeared in the top three at 26.5% of grid points. The weakest 25 managed 2.7%. The separators were recent review flow, owner responses, and an active profile. Star rating on its own did not separate the groups. Local Gravity is built around the factors that did.

FAQ

Questions buyers actually ask

How long until I see results?

Profile corrections show up in Google within days, but ranking movement on the grid usually takes 60 to 90 days and keeps building after that. The first month is mostly foundation work: categories, services, descriptions, attributes, hours, and service area. Movement in the grid follows the activity, not the other way around.

What access do you need from me?

We need manager access to your Google Business Profile, which you grant from inside your own account, and a way to reach your recent customer list for review requests. That is it. We do not need your website login unless you ask us to fix something on the site.

Do I keep ownership of my profile?

Yes. You stay the primary owner of the profile at all times. We work as a manager on an account you control, and you can remove our access from your own dashboard whenever you want.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep the profile, every optimization we made, every post and photo we published, and every report we sent. There is nothing to unwind and nothing gets deleted. We remove our manager access and the profile stays exactly as it is, though it will go stale over time without ongoing activity.

How is this different from doing it myself?

Everything Local Gravity does can be done by hand. The difference is that it gets done every month instead of during the one week a year when someone remembers. You also get rank-grid measurement across your service area, which is the part most owners never set up, so they never know whether their own work is helping.

Do you work with my competitors in the same city?

No. We work with one business per trade per service area. If we are already managing a plumbing profile in your city, we will tell you before you sign anything rather than take both accounts.

What is included in the price?

One flat monthly fee covers profile optimization, posts and photos, review requests and responses, the AI recommendation queue, and the monthly rank-grid report. There is no per-post or per-review charge and no setup fee. Pricing is on the plans page and we confirm it in writing before we start.

What reporting do I get?

A monthly report with two parts. The rank grid shows where your profile appeared across the points we measure in your service area, compared to the previous month. The activity log lists every change we made to the profile, every post and photo published, every review request sent, and every review answered.

Does Local Gravity work for a service-area business with no storefront?

Yes. Service-area businesses are the majority of what we manage. The configuration is different: your address stays hidden and the service area boundaries do a lot of the work, so getting them right matters more than it does for a storefront.

Can I use Local Gravity on its own?

Yes. Local Gravity is a standalone product for Google Business Profile management. Searchlite and Jordyn are separate and optional, for identifying website visitors and for answering and booking calls.
