The Get Found stage

MapGap: Google Business Profile Management That Keeps Your Listing Working

Your Google Business Profile is the first thing most local searchers see. MapGap keeps it accurate, active, and review-ready so more nearby customers find you on Google Search and Maps.

What MapGap actually does

The monthly work that moves the profile forward

Profile foundation

We confirm your business name, address, phone, website, categories, services, descriptions, and attributes match what you actually offer. Small mismatches here quietly hurt rankings.

Hours and service area

Regular hours, holiday hours, and service-area boundaries are kept accurate. For businesses without a storefront, correct service-area configuration determines where the profile can show up.

Posts, photos, and videos

We publish updates, offers, events, and fresh photos and videos on a regular cadence. An active profile signals relevance to Google and gives searchers a reason to choose you.

Review requests and responses

We send review invitations to recent customers and respond to new reviews quickly. Review velocity and owner responses are part of how Google weighs local relevance.

Rank-grid reporting

Every month you get a report showing where your profile appears across the neighborhoods and zip codes you serve, not just one average number that hides the real picture.

Process

How the profile work is organized

  1. 1

    Profile audit

We review your current profile, identify gaps, and document what needs to change first. You get a clear list before any work begins.

  2. 2

    Foundation update

Categories, services, descriptions, attributes, hours, and service-area boundaries are corrected and aligned with what you actually offer.

  3. 3

    Monthly activity cadence

Posts, photos, videos, review requests, and responses go out on a regular schedule. The profile stays active instead of going stale.

  4. 4

    Rank-grid reporting

Every month you receive a report showing where your profile appears across the areas you serve, so you can see real movement instead of an average.

Reporting

What you see every month

Each monthly report includes a profile activity log and a rank-grid view. The activity log lists everything that changed on the profile: updates to categories, services, descriptions, hours, posts, photos, videos, review requests, and responses. The rank-grid shows where your profile appeared for the searches that matter most, broken down by neighborhood or zip code.

We do not hide bad news. If a part of your service area is not showing movement, the report tells you so you can decide what to do next.

Fit

Is MapGap right for you?

MapGap is built for local businesses that rely on being found by nearby customers. If your customers search on Google Maps or Google Search before they call, your profile matters. MapGap is especially useful if your profile has not been updated in months, if your competitors are gaining reviews faster than you are, or if you have no clear picture of where you rank across the areas you serve.

It works whether you have one location or serve a wider area without a storefront. If you already have someone managing your profile full-time and producing monthly reports, you may not need MapGap.

What it fixes

Problems MapGap is designed to solve

  • Incomplete, outdated, or inconsistent profile information
  • Profiles that were set up once and then ignored
  • Low review velocity or unanswered reviews
  • Weak local photo and video presence
  • No clear view of where the profile ranks across the service area

What it does not fix

Limits to be realistic about

  • Google ranking positions that are controlled by Google's algorithms
  • A website that is broken, slow, or provides no path to contact you
  • Bad reviews caused by real customer experience problems
  • Businesses that do not genuinely serve the area they want to rank in
  • Missing or incorrect business citations across the web

Connected system

How it fits with the rest of the system

MapGap is the Get Found stage. It makes more people aware of your business on Google Search and Maps. When you are ready, you can add Searchlite to identify more of the website visitors who leave without contacting you, and Jordyn to respond, qualify, and book the opportunities that come in.

Each stage works on its own. Connected, they cover the whole path from first search to booked appointment.

FAQ

Common MapGap questions

What exactly does MapGap do?

MapGap manages your Google Business Profile as an ongoing program. We keep categories, services, descriptions, attributes, hours, posts, photos, videos, reviews, and responses current and active. We also run a monthly rank-grid report so you can see where your profile appears across the areas you serve.

How is MapGap different from a one-time profile setup?

A one-time setup gets your profile online. MapGap keeps it active over time. Google rewards profiles that stay current, respond to reviews, publish updates, and add photos. MapGap does that work every month instead of once.

Will MapGap guarantee top rankings on Google Maps?

No. Google controls rankings and no one can promise a specific position. MapGap does the ongoing work that influences visibility, and we report on what actually changed.

Do I need to replace my website?

No. MapGap works with the website and phone number you already have. It is focused on your Google Business Profile, not rebuilding your site.

Can I use MapGap without Searchlite or Jordyn?

Yes. MapGap is the Get Found stage and works on its own. Searchlite and Jordyn are optional add-ons when you are ready to identify more website visitors and follow up with them.
